Create an artwork
Your 1/1, in your own collection, auctioned for 24 hours — one signature.
Create → Artwork mints a 1/1 with cc0 Artifacts, cc0's own auction house, on Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum One, BNB Chain, Arc or Robinhood Chain. The piece is an ERC-721 in a collection that belongs to you (created the first time you mint on a chain).
The four steps
- Upload — an image, a video, a 3D model (GLB), an animation (GIF, APNG, MP4, WebM — with a poster image) or an interactive HTML piece.
- Storage — the platform measures what writing the piece onchain would cost on the chain you chose and recommends fully onchain (the bytes live in the contract, forever) or IPFS.
- Details — title, description, and the auction's reserve price in dollars (at least $10).
- Create — one signature mints the piece and opens its lot. A fully-onchain piece shows its IPFS copy at once, then cc0's upload wallet writes the onchain copy in the background (« Storing onchain · n of m ») and the piece switches to it.

The creation fee pays for the onchain upload: you never pay its gas. You only pay the gas of the mint transaction. Fees are charged in the chain's gas coin at the house's oracle rate.
Minting without an auction
A piece minted without a lot pays no creation fee — and therefore stays on IPFS.
After you mint
- The piece has its own page (
/art/<chain>/<collection>/<id>) and a card on the feed. - The auction opens with the first bid at your reserve and runs 24 hours; Patron Editions sell while it runs.
- Anyone can settle it when the clock ends; the proceeds go to your wallet minus the house fee.
- You can let collectors order framed prints of your work from the piece's page.
